Guidelines for Outgoing Erasmus+ Staff Mobility Program 2023-2024

The Erasmus+ Staff Mobility Program is a week / or two weeks teaching /training program for academic and administrative staff members sponsored by the European Union. Within the Erasmus +KA171 participants can get academic, personal and cultural development at one of the AIU partner universities in Europe with the benefit of up to 1920€ for living and travel expenses.

Selection process for staff members:

The first stage of the selection process is carried out by AIU International Relations Office, on the basis of such criteria as: eligibility, academic capacity and proficiency of English.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Full time employee at AIU

  • At least two years (last and current) working experience at AIU

  • English Language Proficiency- C1 level for academic staff

B2 level for administrative staff

  • Not the grantee who already participated in Erasmus+Staff Mobility Programme current and last academic years.

If you are eligible and have the necessary professional competencies and qualifications to carry out the proposed program, please, submit online application till 14th of February, 17:00 p.m.

attaching the following documents:

  • CV (europass)

  • International passport

  • Motivation letter (candidates should introduce themselves; prove why they are the ones who should win the scholarship. Candidates are to describe their international experience and achievements if they have any. Candidates have to explain expected outcomes of the program to him/her and to the University).

  • English language certificate (TOEFL IBT (80+), IELTS (6+), PBT (550+). In case you do not have a Language Certificate, you have to take an English Language test at the Continuous Education Center of AIU (A-107) to confirm your English language level.

  • Proposal of teaching/training program at receiving University (preliminary a week teaching or training program describing your activities at host university).

The second stage of the selection process and final decision is held by Selection

Committee formed by Rector, Vice rectors and International Relations Officers.

In the second stage each candidate will have a face to face interview.

The candidates are shortlisted according to the following criteria:

  • Academic capacity 30%

  • Motivation letter 30%

  • Interview 40%

  • Appropriateness of faculties/departments

Successful candidates will be allocated to the partner universities according to the appropriateness of their teaching or training areas. Nominations to Host Universities will start after the allocation process. Depending on host universities’ requirements nominated applicants have to submit additional documents:

  • Staff Mobility Agreement for Teaching or Training

  • Grant Agreement

  • CV

  • Scan of passport

The IRO supports outgoing Erasmus participants in visa issues.

Interview - on Monday, 19th of February, at 15:00 p.m. in Senato (A 308).  

Result of the selection – 4th of March, 2024.

Nominations to Host Universities will start after the allocation process.
