1. Office members and duties

● Director

- To sign authorised official documents
- To manage functioning of IRO
- To develop cooperation with career agencies for attracting international students
- To participate in educational fairs, to visit high schools in abroad and to develop relationship with Kyrgyz diaspora and to carry out marketing activities for attracting international students

● Coordinators of International Programmes

- To facilitate and coordinate self-financed (bilateral) and funded (Erasmus+ KA1, UGRAD, DAAD, Confucius, etc) academic staff, administrative staff and student mobility programmes
- To coordinate documents, visa, and other official documentation of incoming mobility staff and students.
- To facilitate and coordinate joint research programmes with partner universities
- To initiate, facilitate and coordinate dual degree programmes
- To develop partnership with universities in abroad and international organizations
- To search and fetch research grants and various academic grants from international organizations, aid organizations and multinational companies
- To coordinate admission and cultural affairs of international students
- To participate in educational fairs, to visit high schools in abroad and to develop relationship with Kyrgyz diaspora and to carry out marketing activities for attracting international students
- To develop cooperation with career agencies for attracting international students
- To prepare and maintain documents and student visa on admissions of international students
- To disseminate graduate scholarship programmes, summer programmes, youth festivals, staff training programmes and staff fellowship programmes
- To organize seminars on scholarship graduate programmes in abroad
- To disseminate and coordinate international internship programmes
- To develop relationship with Embassies in Bishkek
- To get report from staff and students participated in mobility programme

● Visa Officer

- To get permission from Migration Service of MFA KR to involve foreign citizen to work at the University
- To get work permit to each foreign staff member
- To apply for visa support to foreign applicants and staff personnel
- To apply for visa extension for international staff members with their families
- To apply and get visa for students
- To get registration card for staff members and students after getting visa within 5 working days
- To keep visa documents in files and keep electronic database as well

● Faculty Coordinator for International Relations

- This is a volunteership based appointment by the dean of faculty
- To create awareness about upcoming programmes and events among staff and students of faculty
- To manage along with dean and head of department the courses, seminars and lectures to be conducted by incoming mobility staff members, visiting scholars and guest lecturers

2. Working principles

● To pursue all activities of IRO in transparent manner
● To disseminate all call for applications and programme informations at least ten days before deadline date
● To communicate all related information through related university email groups and facebook page
● To select students and teachers according to the approved selection criteria
● To follow merit and non-nomination based policy in call for application for grant based mobility programmes
● To publicise selected candidates list in facebook page
● To reply all email enquiries and email communications in 24 hours in working days.

3. Documentation

● To develop standard IRO document templates and to get approval from rectorate and vice-rectorate of external affairs for usage
● To use standard IRO document templates for day to day office pursuits
● To work and to maintain all office documents in Google Drive cloud platform
● To archive official documents on archiving standards
● To submit 5 years old documents to Archive Office
