On June 6-30, 2023, training seminars were held at the Otto-von-Guericke University - OVGU (Magdeburg, Germany) within the framework of the project 101082829-DEFA-ERASMUS-EDU-2022-CBHE “Development of financial autonomy of Universities in Kyrgyzstan” (DEFA), Erasmus+ program European Union.

The seminar is attended by 24 employees from 10 universities in Kyrgyzstan and two universities in Europe: OVGU (Magdeburg, Germany) and UNIFI (Florence, Italy).

The objectives of the training seminars are to familiarize and train event participants in the features of the financial autonomy of the University of Magdeburg, process management at the Otto-von-Guericke University and its structural divisions.

The second part of the training seminar took place from July 3 to July 7, 2023 at the University of Florence, Universita Degli Studi di Firenze UNIFI (Florence, Italy). The rector and chairman of the financial commission Sanzharbek Erdolatov, the vice rector and member of the financial commission Umarov Rustam and the project coordinator Talent Asan uulu took part from the Ala-Too International University. The purpose of the training seminar is to familiarize and train participants in the features of the financial and managerial autonomy of the University of Florence, the management of processes and in its structural divisions. Based on the results of the seminars, a model of financial autonomy of universities in Kyrgyzstan will be developed, taking into account the experience of leading universities in Europe, a road map for its implementation, as well as methodological guidelines for applying the developed model.
